BrokerIPTV: Where on the floor at Inman connect NYC 2008 and I have got Matt Heaton one of the original founders of ActiveRain and Matt is going to describe for some of you out there that dont even know about ActiveRain and how important it is and what 2008, 2009 can be for blogging?

Matt Heaton: So, ActiveRain is actually a lot more than blogging, its a social network and marketing tool for real estate professionals because there are two purposes allowing the professionals to connect with each other and also line these professionals connect with their consumer audience because real estate is one of the most sort of relationship based industries and may was the perfect fit for sort of tapping into the whole social networking online idea.

BrokerIPTV: What about your localism, how is that part of this site working out?

Matt Heaton: Localism is really kind of proof of concepts site around content syndication that is taking the content, our members are writing as blog posts and packaging it up and making much more consumer friendly, geo-targeting, it ranking it categorizing it and being able to really create a much better consumer experience out the existing content.

BrokerIPTV: So, blogging do you think people should be writing about their state, their city or their block in neighborhood?

Matt Heaton: People have a lot of different successes with doing different things. I think though more local you go that more targeted to the market you are the most success you are going to have for a couple of reasons is one is there is less of that information out there, so you are going to stick out and there is less competition at that level.
