2010 Realtor Rally: Broker Les Pfenning Discusses the Colorado Real Estate Market

Interviewer: Hi I am Mark Eibner with Broker IPTV and we are here at the Convention Center today for the 2010 Realtor Rally. I am here with Les Pfenning and Les, welcome to the show.

Les Pfenning: Welcome, thanks for being here.

Interviewer: Hey just wanted to get your input on how the market has been in 2010 as compared to say 2009 and how you are doing out there?

Les Pfenning: Well you know the market's what the market is, we can't change it, it's tough out there for everybody but you know we just start finding new ways to create opportunities and new deals.

Interviewer: Right. How long you have been with RE/MAX now?

Les Pfenning: I have been with RE/MAX for 20 years.

Interviewer: Wow!

Les Pfenning: Been in the industry for 33.

Interviewer: And you were just telling me about some recognition you got here locally, or even nationally?

Les Pfenning: Well we just went into what the RE/MAX calls their Circle of Legends, which is 10 million dollars in commissions paid and I have been with RE/MAX for 10 years or more.

Interviewer: Wow, that is an accomplishment today.

Les Pfenning: That's, yep, I've been selling realty for a long time.

Interviewer: Yes, so what do you find yourself specializing in more now in the current market conditions?

Les Pfenning: Well you know I think we are all you know we have to deal with all the things that are out there you know I have got some real high-end houses up in the five million dollar range and we are working on those to find right buyers. I think that's a great opportunity but we also have the $200,000 short sales, or foreclosures are you know the bank owned properties that we have to work with on everyday on a day-to-day basis and, they are all out there.

Interviewer: Great so how many people are on your team now, how many people do you work with, Les?

Les Pfenning: We have three of us now; we are just three of us.

Interviewer: Okay great. Well it's been a pleasure talking with you and congratulations on your award.

Les Pfenning: Thanks for the interview.

Interviewer: You bet.
