Overall,
home prices across the US, remained flat, decreasing slightly at 0.9
percent, according to data released by Zillow.
The Zillow Home Value Index for the US fell from $149,500 to
$148,100 year over year for May 2012.
Locally, though,
things are getting a little better with home values in Boulder,
Denver and Ft. Collins showing increases.
Boulder +0.7
Ft. Collins +2.6
Denver metro +2.8
All other metro areas
in Colorado showed a decline. The
Colorado Division of Housing reported that Grand Junction and Pueblo showed the
largest drops from May 2011 to May 2012:
Colorado Springs -0.2
Grand Junction -3.5
Pueblo - 7.8
