Every interaction one has with a customer or possible customer is an opportunity to continue a relationship for generating revenue, fostering loyalty, gaining feedback, winning back a former customer or gathering data, in a marketer's eyes.
The growth of social media sites and their networking potential provides more space for opportunity to add to your email list.
- Facebook. You can cross-polinate your email blasts on the sidebar of your branded Facebook page.
- Twitter. More cross-polination can be achieved by using the navigation space and layout of your page, as well as by highlighting what you're emailing in your tweets.
- Your Email. Encourage those on your mailing list to easily forward your messages with a link to forward at the bottom of the page, as well as a link to sign up for your list and links to your other sites.
- Going Mobile. As more and more people go mobile with communications, it's good to piggyback on this heavily used form of data exchange.
