With the technology booming at such a rapid pace its hard to keep with everything. There are more and more tools to use and more and more tools to keep up with. The advice these days seems to be, go modern, but keep your old school tools too. It is imperative you steep into the modern age and put your business and listings online. Remember though, none of this online stuff is a replacement for the old fashioned face to face sales and good old fashioned manners and customer service.
A real estate and technology conference in San Francisco talked about these issues and found that real estate agents are overloaded and overwhelmed with the amount there is to do online, just to keep up with the market. Do I blog? Do I post on Facebook? Do I do video tours? The answer to all of these is yes, of course, but where to start and how to divide your efforts?
Do your online duties, but remember to be creative in your business and market activities offline too. Provide services to people, be friendly, be creative, be resourceful, these are still qualities people are looking for in real estate agents, and business professionals in general. Keep the people factor in mind, and never loose touch with customer service.
