Some real estate agents are wildly successful and others are barley getting by. The difference between these two stories is the same for many other business people as well. Passive and active sales efforts are the difference between a hungry real estate agent and one who has just dined on Filet Mignon and Escargot. Much like the values our grandparents gave us when we were young, and much like the principles this country was founded on, you have to go out and actively seek your leads and sales contacts. Remember what our parents and grandparents told us, the world doesnt owe you anything and nothing will just come to you, you have to go out and get it.

The people of our past made things happen, they didnt just sit back and wait for opportunity to come to them, they went out and fulfilled their dreams. Just sitting back and holding an open house once a month or updating your Facebook page from time to time is not the answer, hustling is. Invite people to your open house, become a local resource for your Facebook fans. Go and raise awareness that you are the agent to work with.
