The most popular search terms for homebuyers looking for the perfect neighborhood are "Fun for Kids", "Fun and Hip" and "Most People Use Public Transportation", according to Metrolist, a multi-list service in Colorado.

Metrolist recently launched a search tool for users that includes suggested attributes for users to choose from to help them find their perfect neighborhood. Other attributes include Pet-Friendly" Local Culture, "Golfers Paradise" "Quality Schools", etc.

"The "Fun for Kids" attribute is built from an algorithm of data indicators that suggest the size of a neighborhood's kid population, crime statistics and number of schools, among others data provided by Onboard Informatics." writes Inman News in a story about the service.

The tool, called "Neighborhood Suggester", is offered to real estate agents to embed on their websites for a monthly charge.
