Janet Case CEO of Proxio introduces the first international MLS

BrokerIPTV: Hello. We are live from the vendor floor here at Inman Real Estate Connect in San Francisco 2008 and I have Janet Case and Janet Case is the cofounder and CEO of Proxio and welcome Janet.

Janet Case: Well, thank you. Glad to be here with you.

BrokerIPTV: We don't interview everyone that is on the vendor floor. So, in particular why don't you explain really what Proxio is and why it is a unique and different product?

Janet Case: Well, Proxio has got the first international MLS and referral system for real estate agents all over the world. So, we launched a few months ago in Europe and already over 600 agencies in 27 countries have come into our system to look for other agencies to do business with around the world.

BrokerIPTV: So, it is my understanding that agencies or agents can in fact share their IDX feeds and populate the B2B the inner part as far as sharing listings, right?

Janet Case: That's right. We let the listings come in from either an MLS or an individual can put their listings in one by one and those listings are translatedly[phonetic] displayed in six languages to agents all over the world. So, they can be searched in any language.

BrokerIPTV: Do you do anything as far as working agent to agent on referrals or referral capturing and making sure one agent is going to get paid by another agent, etc.

Janet Case: We don't actually participate in the transaction itself. We are more like a dating service, but we do introduce the agents to each other. They can put in their designations, their specialties and languages they speak. They can find each other based on those criteria in any country or region of the world and then they can make the connection and do a deal together.

BrokerIPTV: So, tell me about the revenue model then. What does it cost to participate, things of that nature?

Janet Case: Okay. Well, the service, the basic service, is free to the agents. We let them put in their information about themselves, just like you could on linkedin. It doesn't cost you anything. We do have premium services we are rolling out this fall that will allow them to do... show[phonetic] a hot link to their website, to have more place... higher placement of their listings and maybe some other features like that, but for the moment, we don't charge anything to the agents to participate.

BrokerIPTV: Well, it sounds like a very unique and excellent product and once again, that is proxio.com, right? p-r-o-x-i-o.com.

Janet Case: Exactly.
