Meetups are networking groups that meet face-to-face, but are organized on a Web site. Currently Meetup.com has 5.7 million members in nearly 59,000 local groups in more than 11,000 cities.

Scott Heiferman, co-founder and CEO of Meetup.com, delievered his keynote address at the Real Estate Connect Conference on Friday and encouraged agents to join or create their own group through the service.
