Megan Aller explains broker benefits of Metrolist's Showing Assist

BrokerIPTV: Today we are talking with Megan Aller, account representative with Metrolist MLS. Welcome.

Megan Aller: Thank you for having me.

BrokerIPTV: We are talking about ShowingAssist, which again one of my favorite features if anyone has watched this program. Tell me why Metrolist integrated ShowingAssist?

Megan Aller: Well, when we were designing the vision of PrimeAccess we had several visioning groups and we found from the feedback of our brokerage community that this would be a valuable asset for us to provide through Metrolist.

BrokerIPTV: Maybe we should actually take one step back for those people who don't know what ShowingAssist is, explain.

Megan Aller: Sure. ShowingAssist is a completely integrated online showing and management solution that allows brokers to conveniently access and show and manage their showings online 24 hours a day through Metrolist.

BrokerIPTV: Talk a little bit about the benefits of ShowingAssist for a listing broker.

Megan Aller: Sure. As a listing broker, they have the ability to create detailed reports about their listings. From there, they have the ability to look at those reports and help manage their showing, their seller's expectations about these listings. They also have the ability to easily communicate open hours about when a property is available to be shown to people that want to show their properties.

BrokerIPTV: And this data is also in part by me, say the buying broker, going in and clicking ShowingAssist and scheduling a showing.

Megan Aller: Exactly.

BrokerIPTV: That is some of the data that's compiled for the listing broker to show the sellers. Is that right?

Megan Aller: Absolutely.

BrokerIPTV: Okay. I love it because I don't like making phone calls. You know, when I am taking somebody out, I just want to click and make the appointment. What features are available?

Megan Aller: Which features are available, as the showing broker, you have the ability to go in, select the ShowingAssist icon from the search results page in PrimeAccess. From there, you can get instructions on how to show the property, directions to the property, as well as open hours. So, it is easy for those listing brokers to communicate that to them. From there, times that aren't available, they will be blacked out, times that are open will be displayed in white. They can either select a specific time or a time window where they would like to show that property.

BrokerIPTV: Is it available to all Metrolist members?

Megan Aller: It is available to all Metrolist members. The employing broker has the ability to go in and within a couple of minutes enable all of the listings that are in that office in one fell swoop.

BrokerIPTV: How is this integrated with other showing services?

Megan Aller: That's a great question. We have had that come up quite a bit. Most offices, a lot of them we found are using ShowingDesk software, which is manufactured by the same company that manufactured ShowingTime. So, the two system integrate with one another and eliminates the need for redundant data entry. Also, RERC, Real Estate Resource Center, is a showing solution and they are integrated with their back end product where the listing broker, all they have to do is type in the e-mail address for RERC and they can set that up. Now, it is not just limited to RERC. We are happy to integrate with other showing solutions systems as well.

BrokerIPTV: Okay. Cool. Are there any additional fees or costs with ShowingAssist?

Megan Aller: No. There is no additional fees or costs along with that. It is very quick and easy for them to set it up and within a couple of minutes, they can have all of their active listings set up for ShowingAssist.

BrokerIPTV: Megan, one of the features I want to touch on before we finish up is the feedback feature. How does that work and what's the response been?

Megan Aller: Well, the nice thing about it is, it is an automatic request for feedback and it is simply one click to set it up. From there, there will be an automatic request for feedback sent out by the listing agent on the evening after the property was shown. From there, it gives them the opportunity, the showing broker, to enter any feedback they may have that they want to give back to the listing broker.

BrokerIPTV: And then that comes back to me as the listing broker.

Megan Aller: Absolutely and then from there you have the option to share that with your seller or not.

BrokerIPTV: Okay. Sounds great. Megan, thanks. Good information.

Megan Aller: Thank you.

BrokerIPTV: Appreciate it.
