Mike Ernstsen gen X - gen Y Brokers Great In 2008

BrokerIPTV : Today we are talking with Mike Ernstsen from the Ernstsen group at Fuller Town & Country Properties and Mike thanks for being with us.

Mike: Thank you it's a pleasure.

BrokerIPTV : This is our genX genY segment. We like to talk with younger practitioners because the demo of the typical real estate agent, it's a little bit older. Do you feel you have an advantage being a young guy in the business?

Mike: I think in a lot of respects adieu I work with my mom obviously and she has been in the business for a long time. So hopefully I will be able to bring kind of the younger clientele. I have got I think a little bit younger generation of perspective and more in tune maybe with some of that technological advancements that I think a lot of the younger agents like to get involved with.

BrokerIPTV : Have you kind of formed away of which you are going about business I mean you are going to be a forming area guy, are you going to specialize in internet or are you going with your area of specialty what is it going to be?

Mike: Well hopefully I like to be referral business, but that's going to take sometime, but I think more primarily concentrate on the markets that Joyan has been involved in and Rob is been involved in. She is already fairly established. I have grown up in those areas so Greenwood Village, Cherry hills area, so I am very familiar with the demographics out there the land out there, so I think will stick with the lot of that but I would like to further with some of the marketing and technology.

BrokerIPTV : This almost seems like a ridiculous question. Your mother has been in the business for a long. She is a former president of the Denver board, so when I ask who your mentor is, is it mom or in my half?

Mike: Obviously mom would be at the top of the list, I think the great thing about Fuller Town and Country is the people that work there. Some of the agents that work there. I have known or known about for many many years because of my mom's working relationship with them. They will always want the help froma Real Estate Broker.

BrokerIPTV : How about industry? Where is the industry real estate industry going? Mike: I think people are always going to need to buy and sell houses. I think it's a having someone in your corner who is familiar with the way things with the way the transactions process goes are familiar with the neighborhoods that people are looking in and somebody who can be there to take the emotional side out of it because it's a very emotional process.

BrokerIPTV : Personal goal or plans for you in a way?

Mike:- Personal goal, exercise more obviously but really I think mostly from a business stand point being more organized, making sure I do follow up calls and keeping in touch with people more continuing education I would like to pursue the GRI designation and just be more knowledgeable, get more confident and comfortable with the real estate process as a whole.
