More Advice for Real Estate Agents

There is a lot of information out there at the moment to help real estate agents. Because of todays market more and more agents are seeking education, tips, training, and advice to help them stay afloat until the economy balances out.  Resources are always precious, but there is more advice for real estate agents these days then ever before.  Some advice is obvious when you think about it, some advice is obscure, and yet other advice is simple and right in front of us, or even in our pocket.

One overwhelming opinion in the industry is that you must embrace technology. These days you cant sell a house unless its listed online with a pictorial tour of the house, embedded video, links to school and neighborhood information, and a satellite view of the house and surrounding areas, showing all fire hydrants and access points, shopping centers, and nearest Starbucks outlet.

The one little piece of technology we sometimes overlook is our smart phone. William James of RealtyTimes says that we must embrace our smart phones if we want to stay competitive in todays market. With a smart phone, you have access to the worlds information right there in your pocket. When selling a home, you have every resource you need in the palm of your hands. This shows potential clients you are informed and reliable, and you have an ability to communicate.

They say presentation is everything, and how we present ourselves is just as important, if not more important. If we come across as if we know what we are talking about and have a handle on the information in our field, we present ourselves as competent and efficient. That can make all the difference in peoples perceptions, which translates into sales.
