| Move Offers Deep Search Tool to MLSs |
|
Realtor.com operator Move Inc., is pitching a new "natural language" search interface to multiple listing services (MLSs) in exchange for MLS' historic listings data. This new interface would aim to be more beneficial and tailored to realtors rather than consumers.
Curt Beardsley, VP of Realtor.com says, "In talks with Move's discussions with MLSs, one thing that keeps coming up is that consumers have the ability to access a wealth of information, not all of which is accessible to Realtors through their own MLS systems. One of the mantras we hear is that as a real estate professional, you never want to be more blind when you're in your (MLS) system than when you are out."
Some features of the Move interface:
- Ability to continually refine searches without having to start from scratch
- Customizable search boundaries through hovering over a subdivision or redrawing polygons on a map
- Ability to compare neighborhoods and tag properties
