An article on
KDVR.com states that "the project will keep 120,000 tons of concrete, thousands
of tons of steel, and 12,000 truckloads of debris off Denver streets and out of
landfills."
"(The debris) will be
used in sidewalks, curbs, roads, base products, pipe products, and probably 13
or 14 different types of product," said Rick Givan from Colorado-based Recycled
Materials Company Inc.
The Stapleton Central
Park West project will consist of 375 new earth-friendly homes which will
include solar properties and zero energy homes. The project also includes an 80
acre park.
