Come to find out real estate agents really dont like to be referred to as a sales person. Even though sales is one of the oldest professions and is still the highest paying profession in the world. Sales professionals are also the back bone of any company. Many will argue that its the technicians or engineers, but without a professional sales team you can have the best product in the world, but it will go nowhere.
Many things make a person successful in their profession, but passion and a strong belief in what you do really goes a long way. If you believe in what you do, you are excited to go to work, verses forcing yourself out the door every day. Your passion and belief comes across to your clients and customers.
Just like the idea that people can hear your smile over the phone, your client can detect if you really believe in what youre selling. Its not just being convincing, its believing in what you do. Its important!
Something that most people overlook when entering into a field is if you are naturally suited for the occupation. Some are natural engineers, they prefer to work in the background and stay away from people (while its not true of every engineer). Still others are very outgoing and prefer to be in the thick of things, socializing and interacting with people.
These people usually genuinely like people and do well with all personality types. This trait makes them a good candidate for a career in sales or even a career as a real estate agent. We all need to do a little soul searching now and then. Take a good long look at yourself and find out what type of career you should pursue.
