Real Estate Consultants Forecast a 2014 Recovery

The housing market will recover, along with the economy; however, it simply will not recover as soon as we all hope it will. A real estate consultant informed Colorados 10 largest county budget officials on Thursday that the next three years may not move as fast as we all hope it would. The real estate consultant forecasts a 2014 recovery and claims we will see major improvement then, but not before.

We all understand our roads, police, teachers, and public works projects rely heavily on property taxes, so officials are keenly interested in the state of things. Looking at and referring to trends of past recessions Mr. Rob Terranova, senior analyst with Re/Max assured officials that 2014 would be a strong recovery year for real estate.

The news and report gave some good news, but it also reflected some of the simple truths people are going through. Mortgage rates are at all time lows of 4 percent, good news if you can get into a house, but nobody can get a loan, so it really doesnt matter what the percentages are. Its still the jobs market that is holding the economy and housing market back, if we can get jobs back on track, the rest will follow.
