Charlie Nicks: Well, we were primarily with the real estate industry at the broker level. Now, as of recent, just this year we have gone completely to all Internet marketing and advertising work. So, we have eliminated all of our print stuff, all our radio stuff, all our retail packages and so forth and working completely on Internet and kind of specialty Internet stuff, so. <watch video>

Rudy Bachraty of Trulia at Bloodhound Blog Unchained on widgets, voices, blogs

Rudy Bachraty of Trulia Bloodhound Blog Unchained on using widgets, Trulia Voices and other techniques to get your name out on the web

BrokerIPTV: Greeting viewers and welcome to BloodHoundBlog's Unchained sponsored by Zillow.com. We are at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona at the social media real estate event of the year. I am here with Rudy from Trulia. Welcome Rudy.

Rudy: Thanks for having me.

BrokerIPTV: Hey, it has been great talking to you. I have seen you in there. You were just chatting here on some of the cool tools that Trulia has like some of your widgets.

Rudy: Yeah, yeah. Yeah Trulia has a lot of great tools for agents whether it is our widgets that they can add on their blog or their websites, the key is if it adds values to your site, use it; if it doesn't, don't.

BrokerIPTV: Tell me about one or two of the widgets that Trulia has.

Rudy: Trulia map widget - basically, if you have listings, you can put that widget on your blog, so if someone finds you through the search engine on your blog, now they can have a visual of your listings and they click on it and they will go right into your listings. So, it adds more engagement to your blog.

BrokerIPTV: Excellent. Trulia Voices. We were talking about that. I mean looks that has been phenomenally successful for people.

Rudy: Yeah, it has been fantastic. The buyers are there, the sellers are there, the agents are there; so, there is a lot of great communication going on and that is what you want. You really want to be where those consumers are and if you don't have the time to blog, Voices is a fantastic alternative to blogging or even a supplement. You can pick out the questions that you want to answer, that you are expert in, and then you can help that consumer and over time, as you answer more of these questions, the consumer can look at your profile because your answers are put together like a repository, right? So, they will see all of your answers and they can kind of engage in you know what, is this agent someone that I want to work with?

BrokerIPTV: Right. It is kind of like what Greg and Brian were talking about as far as going around like a dog, peeing on trees, right? You can leave your name, you can leave your web address, and give good information for people to link back to you.

Rudy: Yeah, I mean the key is if you are an agent and there are lot of sites out there Facebook, Linkedin, Trulia to name a few, you should be on as many as you can, because you never know where a consumer will be, so that is the key.

BrokerIPTV: And being where buyers are, how many uniques a month is Trulia getting right now.

Rudy: We are getting about six million at the last time I checked, but I am sure that number is rising. It has been rising ever since I have come onboard.

BrokerIPTV: And how does that compete with say Zillow and Realtor.com.

Rudy: Realtor.com is according to comScore number one, we are number seven on comScore and Zillow is not in the top ten.

BrokerIPTV: Zillow is not in the top ten?

Rudy: No, not according to comScore.

BrokerIPTV: Wow. Well, congratulations. Truly, I didn't even know that so...

Rudy: Last I checked yeah, I mean, I don't think they were in the top 10.

BrokerIPTV: Great. Well, Rudy had some great information. Appreciate you being here at the Unchained event and we are looking forward to seeing you at the next event.

Rudy: Yep. Thank you.
