Blogging can be somewhat daunting for realtors: the time involvement, coming up with ideas, making it consistent and having great content--all these are concerns for real estate professionals who are interested, but may feel a bit overwhelmed.
So how can a busy realtor sustain a great blog?
- Be consistent. How many times a week can you realistically post a blog? Come up with a number and stick to it.
- Post interesting local news and content. By posting hyperlocal-based content, you can attract actual leads and be on the pulse of your community.
- Use easy-to-understand market statistics. Charts and graphs aren't too exciting for anyone so keep them to a minimum, opting instead to use key points for your own opinions and insight that will be useful to clients.
- Don't be negative. It's important to remain professional. Getting on your soap box too much can be off-putting to some people and can be a barrier to lead generation.
- Promote your blog. Don't forget to use your other methods, from social networks to email blasts, to publicize your blog and latest posts.
