| Summit County , Colorado, Bucks The Nation On Real Estate Appreciation |
|
Welcome to Summit County, Colorado were sellers still call the shots
and buyers still bank on appreciation.
As if the county is living in its own little vacuum, home prices
continue to buck the national trend for home appreciation. The 1997 values of $217,000 have been increasing almost
always by more than 10% each year, to reach 2007's average sales price of
$523,000. Despite all the doom and
gloom of 2007, Summit
County saw a 17 percent
increase in values in 2007 alone. Local and state industry professionals see no
slowdown for the coming year.
