Many of us in sales think of ourselves as sales people. We dont often think of ourselves as small business owners, when in fact, we are. If we treat our sales efforts like a business and trun our real estate business into a business we will make more contacts, expand our customer base, and find more success. Creating a plan, forming a budget, sticking to a schedule are all they types of things business owners do, and so should we in the sales business. Nobody has to remind us that the real estate industry is going through major changes, but there is still a lot of opportunity out there in the field.

There are a lot of real estate agents experiencing huge sales, even in this market. Many agents feel defeated because of the expiration of the tax credit or the gloom and doom we hear about in the news everyday, but the truth is there are still low prices on homes and low interest rates making it favorable for buyers, so now go and find those buyers.

There are some realtors around the country, working in many different companies that are not only experiencing success, but are also willing to share their how-to knowledge with the rest of the real estate industry. Some of these people actively blog, some are social networking masterminds, and others simply hustle. Find what works for you and expand your efforts to make your real estate business a real business.
